Most survivors-style games choose your powers from a menu. Rift Fighter makes you type them. You fight through endless hordes by entering key sequences, and elite enemies and bosses drop technique manuals that add new moves to your set.
Typing Your Combos
Sequences use J, K, L and I, all of which can be rebound. You begin with Charge (J then K), and the bar at the bottom of the screen always shows how far into a sequence you are, so a long combo never has to be a guess.
Move with WASD or the arrow keys and press Tab for the inventory. J confirms and K cancels in menus. On touch screens, use the floating stick on the left and the four action buttons on the right.
Move WASD or Arrow keys · Techniques J K L I (rebindable) · Confirm J · Cancel K · Inventory Tab Techniques are typed as sequences. Charge (J→K) is yours from the start; the rest drop as manuals from elites and bosses. The bar at the bottom of the screen always shows how far into a sequence you are. Touch is supported: a floating stick on the left, four action buttons on the right.
